The Blues Cafe with Steve James

Steve James is a Bedfordshire-based musician and lifelong lover of music who first picked up the guitar at the age of 12. Over the years, he has developed a rich and varied musical background, performing in a wide range of bands spanning genres including blues, dance, jazz and folk. He continues to play regularly and remains deeply passionate about live performance.

While his musical tastes are broad, Steve has a particular affection for the blues, a passion he takes great pride in sharing with listeners through his radio work. His enthusiasm for all styles of music is also reflected in his “Joker in the Pack” feature, where he showcases a favourite track that steps outside the blues genre, offering a personal glimpse into the music he loves.
